Japan’s getting a manga adaptation of Sherlock

Like any reasonable individual anywhere, you’ve been eagerly awaiting the day the BBC officially sanctions an anime rendition of Martin Freeman’s mug. And October 4 is that special day, at least for readers of Japan’s Young Ace magazine, which will run a manga retelling of the first episode of Sherlock, “A Study in Pink.”

Via Manga News Japan, here’s a first look at the cover by pseudonymous artist “Jay.” No word yet on an English translation, but we are now one step closer to all of your secret and sensuous “Benedict Cumberbatch and Phoenix Wright, Ace Attorney get locked in an abandoned whipped cream factory” fan fiction.
