We’re on Day 2 of Prime Day. Sounds weird to say out loud. You’d think Amazon would just call it Prime Week at this point given that the sales event last for multiple days. Though I suppose keeping it Prime Day adds a sense of urgency that you only have “today” to get the best deal. Fear not, Prime Day will be live until the end of the week—Friday, June 26. All week long, you’ll be able to find deals on TVs, kitchen appliances, and—of course—Bluetooth speakers.
Among these many deals, we have the JBL Partybox Encore Essential. This Bluetooth speaker normally sells for $330. Thanks to Prime Day, it’s dropped in price by a solid $150. That steep 45% discount takes the price you have to pay down to just $180 for a limited time. There is also a bundle available which comes with a carrying case, but that is still at full price of $330.
While technically a portable speaker, this thing is a behemoth. It stands over a foot tall and weighs more than 16 pounds. Though, it does have a handle on top to make transportation with it a little easier.
That heft translates directly to powerful, earth-shaking sound. The JBL Partybox Encore Essential’s deep bass will be felt by all at whatever party to schlep it to. And you can bring it anywhere. It’s got an IPX4 rating so you can take it along with you to the beach or by the pool without having to worry if it gets splashed on.
Party in a Box
The punchy JBL Original Pro Sound is only part of the show. The JBL Partybox Encore Essential also is equipped with dynamic lights which can illuminate a space. It’s RGB color will shift as music plays and it can even make a cool strobe effect that stays in sync with the music come through the speaker.
Battery life is pretty decent. This speaker can last for a good six hours straight on a single charge. Honestly, that’s a bit low when compared to other speakers of this size, but six hours still might be plenty enough for whatever you have planned.
If you have a second speaker, you can boost the sound to even more powerful levels. The JBL Partybox Encore Essential can be paired with another of its kind and allow for true wireless stereo sound, treating each speaker separately as either the left or right channel.
