JVC has been showing off a hot new model of in their Everio line of camcorders called the GZ-MC500. While it shares the same 4GB internal hard drive as the other Everio, it also has a 5-megapixel resolution using a 3CCD sensor group, making it the world’s smallest 3CCD camera. Add in a 10x optical zoom and a flip-up flash and it looks like the GZ-MC500 will be the one to beat when it launches in March—if you’ve got the 1,500€ to spend on it (about two grand American).
Even better, JVC says they’ll be offering models with 8 and 10GB hard drives soon. This is exactly the sort of camera we have been looking forward to—now where is every one else’s model?
