We know an online poll isn’t super-scientific or anything, but when you have a sample of 1249 readers of our geeky brother site Kotaku, at least it’s a pretty good-sized group who know what they’re talking about when it comes to the Nintendo DS lite. That’s why we raise an eyebrow when we see this response, showing that 14% of those owning the DS lite have a cracked hinge on their Nintendo portable.
On the positive side, even when a DS lite got chewed nearly beyond recognition by a wayward dog, Nintendo has been showing its goodwill with generous customer service. Will Nintendo extend that generosity to remedy a defect that seems to be affecting such a large percentage of its users? Or is this just a sampling error?
