First came the KPop Demon Hunters singalong screenings, which made the in-home experience of watching Huntr/x on Netflix a bit more immersive. Then, the singing voices of the main characters—Ejae, Audrey Nuna, and Rei Ami—started making the talk-show rounds with their smash-hit soundtrack songs. Finally, the KPop faithful got to see the trio do “Golden” onstage at the Oscars, where the movie won both Best Original Song and Best Animated Feature.

That was, seemingly, the closest we’d ever get to seeing Huntr/x perform live. But Netflix has now confirmed a “KPop Demon Hunters World Tour,” teasing in a press release that “Netflix is teaming up with AEG Presents to launch a KPop Demon Hunters global concert tour, a live experience that will bring elements of the two-time Oscar-winning film to life in spectacular ways.”

Conspicuously absent are some basic facts that any world tour announcement would typically include. Go to the Netflix RSVP page for the event and you will notice there are no details yet about where the show will be performed (“Cities, dates, and on-sale details are still to come later this year”) or—more pressingly—who exactly will be taking the stage.

Will there be live performers? Presumably. Will musical scenes from the movie be shown on giant screens? Almost certainly. Will there be anyone who was actually in the movie portraying members of Huntr/X or the demonic Saja Boys? Extremely unclear.

What this announcement tells us is, basically, that Netflix is still very eager to capitalize on that Oscar-winning, chart-topping KPop Demon Hunters success as well as feed the frenzy as fans face a long wait for the sequel.

And there’s zero doubt that whatever this KPop Demon Hunters World Tour ends up being, there will be enough merch to empty the pockets of every fan in attendance.
