Lego Minimodulars Is Cute and Fun and a Must Have and CUTE AND FUN

My second favorite set in this gift guide, these Mini Modular buildings are ah-mazing. Maybe it’s because I’m a fan of micro scale Lego—in which you use tiny bricks to represent huge things, like buildings. But even if I weren’t a fan, they are really clever and a lot of fun to build.

They include reproductions of five buildings from the big Creator Modular Building series: Café Corner, Market Street, Green Grocer, Fire Brigade and Grand Emporium. They link together using technic connectors, with plenty of click-satisfying action.

They may seem expensive at $80, but they contain lots of pieces and I think it’s completely worth it. And besides, the original buildings are mostly gone from the shelves (the Green Grocer will cost you more than $2,000 on eBay now). [Lego Shop and Amazon]
