Nintendo has been ramping up other companies working on its stuff. It means that you can get a lot more toys than you used to be able to, and with all sorts of cool nods to your favorite games and characters. We’ve even got a film coming up about Zelda, which is a hard thing to wrap your head around if you’re a long-term fan of the video game giant. Well, from out of all of those, we’d still argue that Lego makes the coolest gifts, so we want to highlight one for you today.
While there are some amazing ones you can play with and build, there are also some fantastic options for those looking for display models. Of those, this Lego Super Mario Game Boy is a thing of true unfiltered beauty. It’s just an amazing set, and you can pick it up right now for $50 on Amazon. With the holidays coming up, this is one of the best gifts you could give or get.
Wahoo
This is a near 1:1 of the original Game Boy, which can out oh so very long ago. It has 421 pieces, which means it’s on the medium side of things. This isn’t going to take you weeks to build, but you’ll want to put aside a day on the weekend to make sure you’ve got enough time to casually build this. It’s a fairly complicated model because of some of the rarer pieces inside of it too, which makes it a great piece for long-term Lego fans in general. You’re also getting two Game Paks as well, which means that you get a few really wonderful things to show off.
It also has a stand, and while you can’t play games on it, unfortunately, you can change the screen between three different options. This is a fantastic way to show-off a love of Nintendo with a little bit of built-it-yourself history, and one of the best-looking Lego sets from the last few years. With Christmas and all sorts of other big events coming up, picking up something like this ahead of those, so you’re ready with the perfect gift, is just a very sensible thing to do. Yes, that’s still true even if you’re buying it for yourself, you completely deserve it.
If you’re looking to get this, then locking it down ahead of all the chaos of the coming months. $50 is a fantastic price for a Lego kit of this quality, so go for it.
