Upon entering the Musicovery iPhone app, users must pinpoint their exact mood, whether that be energetic, positive, calm or dark—or somewhere in between. The app will then load up a selection of suitable tracks, personalizing the experience.
It’s a spin-off from their webradio website, which streams random songs based on the mood input and decade of hits chosen, and works pretty well judging by the few sessions I’ve used it for since it launched.
While the app itself is free—and most of the features are available—the premium account offers higher quality audio and other perks such as unlimited song skips. It’s no Spotify, but then, it’s a worthy contender for indecisive music listeners from countries without access to that app. [iTunes via Recombu]
