LG demonstrated their new 3.5G high-speed cellular happiness technology at CTIA which allows for transfer speeds of up to 14-Mbps over W-CDMA. There was an earlier successful test run at a Nortel Lab earlier this month that LG claims used the same model of phone. It should be noted that even 3G is hardly anywhere to be seen in these United States so we’ll just have to watch from the sidelines as our friends in the East enjoy high speed data transfer on their cells phones, mocking us while downloading the highest quality video clips and MP3 ringtones.
