LG’s slick, mega-high-res 84-inch 4k TV will retail at a whopping $20,000 when it goes on sale. That’s a saving of $5,000 over the Sony equivalent—think of what you can do with that spare $5,000!—but it’s still a sickening amount of money to spend on a TV.
Realistically, it’s going to be a long time before big-name brands make a 4k TV cheap enough to appear in your living room. How about a cheap Chinese one in the meantime? [LG]
