What would you see if you were stuck by lightning? Storm chaser Scott Sheppard captured this first-person video while he took a lightning bolt to the arm, so we can watch the experience without any of the pain.
Sheppard was filming out of his car window in Fairburn, South Dakota, when lightning hit his arm and blasted a hole in the pavement next to him—throwing dust clouds and debris into the air. Fortunately, Sheppard is fine aside from a sore arm. His car, on the other hand, was disabled by the lightning, as was a passing car.
