The long-in-development movie remake of the classic TV series The Six Million Dollar Man has officially hired Mark Wahlberg as a man who is given incredibly advanced bionics after suffering a catastrophic accident, except now it’s 100 times more expensive. Please insert Obamacare joke here.
Given that Mark Wahlberg almost always ends up as a personality-less slab in big-budget summer action movies — e.g., Planet of the Apes, Max Payne, Transformers 4, etc. — and that this is being directed by Peter Berg, who mostly recently sank the Battleship movie (get it? GET IT?!) I am super-excited to not give a shit about this. Unless, of course, the movie also gets Andy Serkis to play a mo-cap bionic Bigfoot.
