Given how perfectly Julie Andrews encapsulated the title role, Disney never really needs to remake Mary Poppins. Ever. That said, if they do, I believe Andy Rehfeldt has found a take that works… namely by turning Ms. Poppins and ol’ Bert the Chimney Sweep into the world’s greatest death metal duet.
