Some people say that sucking up to me does absolutely no good. I would like to state for the record: that is absolutely not true. For instance, Johan Levin, who among other things worked on the latest version of the open source (I think) Media Portal software — essentially a port of the very successful XBox Media Center software, with extra features to take advantage of its PC platform — also happens to send me a lovely weekly digest full of interesting links from around the web. He’s now trading in his karma for a link to the newly updated software (new skins! new website!) and you know what? I’m fine with that.
