Metronomy Reminds Us That We’d Rather Be in San Francisco Right Now

Early Wednesday morning, an odd fog descended upon New York City, hugging the buildings and obscuring the ground. For those of us who’ve spent some time in the Bay Area, it was hard not to imagine we were snuggling in between San Francisco’s steep hills rather than thumping through the gridlock of Gotham.

This is always the point when winter gets difficult. With the holidays now behind us and a solid ten weeks of cold, wet drudgery ahead, it’s a good time for those of you in the northern latitudes to head to warmer climes. You might be thinking Mexico or, heck, Argentina—but don’t forget about that foggy city on the left coast. At the time of this writing, it is 72º and sunny in San Francisco.
