Microsoft introduces video iPod

So as we all know now, Apple isn’t offering a video iPod. But Microsoft is. Sort of. They’ve teamed with Intel to create a portable video player with a 20GB hard drive and a 3.5-inch color screen (some models will have seven-inch screens) called the Media2Go that will play stored video files. They’re just creating the reference design, with SONICblue, ViewSonic, Samsung, iRiver, and Sanyo signed up to actually build them. The Media2Go is expected to sell for between $200 and $400 depending on screen size, and be out sometime late this year. Can’t wait.
