Microsoft tackles timekeeping

As if stealing Apple’s thunder by introducing a video iPod wasn’t enough, Microsoft has also set out to redefine the wristwatch, with a new smartwatch that can wirelessly connect to a network and download data. Microsoft has built a whole new national wireless data network for the watches, which can download information like text messages, what the weather forecast is, or the local time (so no more having to reset your watch when you change time zones!). The watches will be made by Fossil, Citizen, and Suunto.
