MioTech is showing off their new Mio269, which has the distinction of being the first GPS units with a built-in hard drive (which honestly, sounds a little suspect to me, but maybe in the handheld space that’s true). The 2.5GB hard drives are pre-loaded with maps of Europe, but retain 500MB of free space for MP3s, which is pretty considerate of them. MioTech is also launching the Mio268, which has the same functions, but is cheaper and uses flash memory instead of the hard disc.

Update: Levi writes: This unit is not the first to have a hard drive. The Magellan RoadMate 700 has a 10GB one, and I believe the Garmin 6260 also has a hard drive built in. There are probably others as well. Both the Magellan and the Garmin are handheld, not in-dash.
