Just in time for the return of baseball season, MLB has updated its line of mobile apps so you can listen to more games for less moolah.

What does it do?

Lets you listen to live broadcasts of baseball games. The app is free, but to hear games called you have to either pay for an in-app subscription ($20 flat rate on Android, $3/month on iOS) and be signed up or for MLB.TV.

Why do we like it?

What do you not like about saving money? The answer is nothing. In years past, you had to pay for both the app and live audio separately. Now you get GameDay Audio and all the premium features in the app for the same price. Plus, you only have to pay once and you can watch it on your tablet, phone, or computer. On top of that, there’s a ton of content baseball fans will love like stats, highlight reels, video archives, player and team info, and more. Batter up, because there’s just a month left until opening day.
