Mobile Gaming At The GDC

Tapland has a report from the 2004 Game Developers Conference that highlights some of the upcoming developments in mobile gaming, such as Tapwave’s impending retail launch, new mobile 3D engines from Fathammer that will run on the Zodiac, Gametrac, and Linux devices, and Sony-Ericsson’s announcement that all but their lowest-end phones would include capable of supporting a Java-based 3D engine. Also, Tapwave confirmed that both Zodiac 1 and 2 devices will not be upgraded to Cobalt, the latest version of PalmOS.
