A supposed Sprint rep spills some of the Pre's more mundane niceties and details: For one, it creates a "Palm profile" that allows OTA syncing, online data backup and remote wipe.
Also not entirely unexpected, it'll require a Simply Everything or Business Essentials data plan package from Sprint, though it doesn't support Sprint's own apps, like Sprint Music. It is a webby web smartphone, after all. On the past meets present side, though, if you've been slugging it out with your old-school Palm gear, you'll be able to transfer the data to your Pre.
