So we knew Motorola’s new V710 was going to be hitting Verizon Wireless sometime in August, but internal documents reveal the exact date will be the 11th (and by internal documents I mean a PDF on their site, so peruse away.) Pricing looks about standard for a phone in this range: $420 at full retail; as low as $320 subsidized with a two-year contract.
The most interesting information, though, are the three listed Bluetooth Accessories, a headset ($80), a car kit ($200 ouch!), and an external speaker ($100). While their function is pretty much self-explanatory, what they don’t address is that niggling rumor that the V710 somehow uses a non-standard Bluetooth implementation (which would mean other, less-expensive third-party peripherals wouldn’t work). I guess we’ll have to wait until someone gets their hands on one to confirm. (Thanks, Barry!)
