Verizon has announced the highly-anticipated Motorola V710 — a 1.23-megapixel and Bluetooth clamshell phone — is now shipping and should be available nationwide by August. I know it doesn’t make sense that Verizon has gotten a hot phone before other carriers, let alone get a hot phone and sell it for around $250 (after rebates and contracts, natch), but these are the strange days we live in.
Word on the street, though, is that the Bluetooth connectivity is crippled and can only be used with a few wireless earpieces and Verizon Wireless’s proprietary syncing software. Now that sounds more like the Verizon we know. (Thanks, Aaron!)
