As of tomorrow, Italian mobile customers will be able to pick up the A1000 on Hutchison’s ‘3’ UMTS service. This smartphone, which was announced early this year, still offers some PDA-like features, including a touchscreen display. The real kicker, though, is its ability to conduct videocalls, and apparently the A1000 on the high-speed UTMS network from 3, is the first smartphone truly capable of this feat—or so they say. Ready-up, Italy, for the inevitable video-enhanced telefonate sessuali that will begin tomorrow (I’m jealous). Coming to other Hutchison UMTS markets, too, which means ‘not the US’.
