Some slightly disappointing news about the Motorola MPx, the upcoming super-phone with the nifty two-way flip. We already had heard the MPx will be using the Texas Instruments OMAP CPU (200 MHz), but will have a relatively scant 32MB of RAM, along with 64MB of flash ROM. But as was pointed out by PocketPCThoughts forum poster JonnoB, “It is important to note that the memory configuration is unlike any other PPC to-date. The 32MB RAM and 64MB of storage area is fixed and does not use a sliding scale of RAM for storage/program memory. This is in effect, like a device with 96MB of shared program/storage memory.”
