Moxi’s digital entertainment hub

Any article about digital home entertainment hubs and the convergence of PCs and TVs and stereos that’s supposed to be just around the corner is bound to mention Moxi. It’s a personal video recorder with a 100GB hard drive that can also play MP3s, MPEGs, DVDs, and function as server and a router for your home network. It will also include MSN Messenger and can even be used as a video phone. OS News has a piece on how Moxi is running on Linux, despite the fact that the company behind Moxi was recently bought by Digeo, a company owned by Paul Allen of Microsoft fame.
