HardOCP has a review of the new FX5900XT, a new mid-level card and the first from Nvidia to co-opt ATI’s confusing XT branding (hopefully, to eventual obsolescence). The FX5900XT comes across strong, easily besting Nvidia’s former mid-range part, the FX5700 Ultra, and keeping up with ATI’s 9600XT, its main competitor. Not only that, but the reviewed MSI FX5900XT seems very willing to be coaxed through overclocking to speeds close to Nvidia’s top-end FX5900 Ultra, making this $185 card a much better deal than its siblings.
