Just about every gadget-focused columnist has been puzzling lately over why TiVos, ReplayTVs, and other digital video recorders haven’t caught on with the general public yet. Now David Morgenstern over at Storage Supersite, in a column about whether or not digital video recorders will ultimately prove to be a good thing for the hard drive market, brings up another reason – the loud whirring of their hard drives.
