Toshiba might have beat them to it, but NEC has their own prototype of a fuel cell-powered laptop. Right now the fuel cell only provides about five hours of juice before it runs dry, but NEC expects that within a couple of years they’ll be able to squeeze 40 hours out of one before it needs a refill of methanol. Oh, and the fuel cell only adds about 4.5 pounds to the weight of the laptop.
