New DVD burners from Panasonic

By

Reading time 1 minute

A couple of new DVD recorders from Panasonic. The DMR-E60 is designed for use with digital cameras and camcorders, and has a slot for an SD memory card for viewing still photos, and a DV input terminal for burning video footage to a DVD-R. The DMR-E80 (pictured at right) combines a DVD burner with an 80GB digital video recorder that can store up to 104 hours of television programming. You gotta wish TiVo would be tough enough to take on the television networks and put a DVD burner in its DVRs, it’d be great to be able to easily create an archive of favorite shows when you run out of space on the hard drive.
