New IP videophone from D-Link

TechTV on a new videophone from D-Link that works entirely over a broadband Internet connection, rather than trying to squeeze a video signal over regular copper phone lines like many earlier attempts at video telephony. The DVC-1000 i2eye, which plugs into a TV for seeing the other person, only works if the other person also has an i2eye (no surprise there), but apparently the DVC-1000 is better than trying to make video calls using a PC with a webcam and some special software.
