New Nokia, Codename: Charlie

And, since I missed this earlier, pictures of a new Nokia smartphone survaced today, code-named ‘Charlie NPI5’ (I have no idea). Not much is know about features at the moment, but it has hot-swapping of MMC-cards, which is good, and the production model is said to have a 1.3-megapixel camera. If the camera is anything to go by, this looks to be a pretty small unit, but no frame of reference makes judging it difficult.

Update: If you look at the bottom picture on the Mobile-Review page, you can extrapolate from the SIM card (as readers Tim Smith and Phil Elwell did) that the Charlie NPI5 is 3 5/8th-inches tall and 2-inches wide at its widest point. From that, figure approximate thickness (depth) to be

3/4-inch, with an additional 2/16 of an inch for the camera depth, making it 1.5-inches shorter, 1/4-inch thinner, and 1/4 of an inch less deep than the Nokia 3650.
