Want to see what the next generation of console games will look like? Canadian game developer Digital Extremes has a trailer out for its upcoming project Dark Sector that is rendered in real-time on next-generation hardware, with a catch: it’s not the Playstation 3 or the Xbox 2, but instead the company’s approximation (using PC hardware, presumably) of what their new engine will look like on future console hardware. Still, the 45-second clip isn’t pre-rendered, and does look awfully pretty, with all the requisite real-time fanciness you’d expect.
