If you’re a big reader of magazines on tablets, you know how expensive it can get. Single issues often cost $5 a pop. But Next Issue has rethought this with its app for Android tablets, offering 32 titles you want for a flat rate.

What does it do?

Just one app gives you unlimited access to all the glossies you want to read. It’s free for the first 30 days, after which it’s $9.99 for unlimited access to monthlies or $14.99 for that plus weeklies. Soon, Android users won’t be the only ones at the party, either. Next Issue is coming to the iPad this summer.

Why do we like it?

It’s an all-you-can-eat model, made possible by a consortium of some of the biggest players in the industry, including Conde Nast, Hearst, Meredith, Time Inc., and News Corp. And who doesn’t like buffets? Next Issue includes a lot of the best titles on the rack, like Esquire, Wired, Vanity Fair, Sports Illustrated, The New Yorker, Time, and many more. Subscribers also get a ton of premium content like slideshows and videos. [Time]
