NHJ’s MPM-201 Personal Video Player Concept

Details are skimpy, to say the least, but I4U has information about a new personal video player from NHJ (which sells products under the V@MP brand, among others) called the MPM-201, reportedly equipped with a 20GB hard drive, SD slot, 3.5-inch TFT screen, built-in TV tuner and video encoding, and a USB 2.0 interface. It’s just a concept for now, so hopefully they can improve the 640 by 480 resolution before they decide to produce their little ultra-device. If even low-end manufacturers like NHJ are developing personal video players, that must mean Apple is waiting for everyone to release first-generation devices before they release their video iPod, right? Right? Also, I know this prototype image is fairly craptacular, but that’s the best we’ve got, for now.
