Chris Morris’s ‘Game Over’ column has a few words to say about the rumored wireless capability of the Nintendo DS, including that a simple DS-to-DS instant messaging client could be in the works. I think that’s a safe speculation; almost as safe as predicting no one will care unless the IM client can talk to the internet. While the spec sheet that hit the web earlier this week mentioned 802.11b, the ability to access the internet over WiFi doesn’t seem very ‘Nintendo-y.’
