Nokia Kinetic Concept Declines Calls Using Playful Flicks

Designer Jeremy Hopkins, perhaps taking a cue from those inflatable clown punching bags that would always right themselves thanks to a special weight, has designed the Nokia Kinetic to do pretty much the exact same thing.

Don’t want to answer? Screen that call with a simple flick. The Kinect will then bounces down to the table. After that, thanks to an electromagnet in the base, it rights itself for the next caller. Functional and stress relieving, all in one.

Now, whether this concept actually works outside Hopkins’ head is up for some serious debate, but for now the “idea” of this phone is interesting enough.

For now, flick away. [Jerry Hopkins via The Design Blog]
