Taking a page from the Gateway and Apple playbooks, Nokia will open two U.S. stores in Chicago and New York where they will sell all the hotness that the carriers don’t know how to market. The Chicago store will open June 21.

Nokia has stores in Asia, Australia, and Europe but hasn’t quite cracked the fickle and backward U.S. phone market. The Chicago store should be at 545 N. Michigan Avenue while the New York store will be in the “5th Avenue Region,” a misty, mysterious retail swamp populated by the souls of dead trust fund babies.
