Nokia D311, a hybrid GPRS/802.11b PCMCIA card. It’s been available in America for a few months now. The future of wireless is these combination cards, but the D311 is not the card you’ve been waiting for. At a maximum data rate of 14.4 kbs using GPRS (its European cousin the D211 is faster at 43.2 kbs), you’re probably better off with Novatel’s card which is ten times faster (but which lacks 802.11b), or waiting until hybrid 3G/802.11b cards hit the market.
