I won’t bother you with all the specific numbers — they’re in there if you want to dig them out — but suffice it to say that Nokia, which warned on April 6th that its market share was declining, was not joking in the least, with their overall market share slipping to 28.9 percent from 34.6 percent last quarter, despite an handset market that is still growing overall. Nokia has continued to lose marketshare to companies like Samsung and Motorola who are providing the type of handsets — especially flipphones — that consumers in the hot developing markets are clamoring for.
