Gizmodo collaborator Anna Jane Grossman appeared last week on Nightline to talk about her second most favorite thing*: The death of not-so-old technology. And along with it, the death of blind dates, love letters, and long phone calls.

Anna Jane—author of Obsolete: An Encyclopedia of Once-Common Things Passing Us By and one of the curators of our Y2K+10 theme week—reflects on how fast new technology is becoming old, and how fast this change is affecting human behavior. I don’t know if the results of that change are good or not, but things seem a lot more boring in the land of Google, Facebook, and text messages.
