If you haven’t been able to get your hands on one of those GeForce 8800 GTX cards we’ve shown you (or if you just can’t afford them), you might want to hold off for a bit. Seems like Nvidia’s forthcoming G84 and G86 GPUs for the entry level and mid range crowd are on target for a Q1 release. The chips will be derived from the current G80 and will have less real pipelines than their counterparts, but in turn they’ll be priced in the $199 to $249 range, which considering the cost of the current 8800 cards sounds good to us.
