The Metropolitan Transportation Authority is about to begin work on a $200 million dollar project to increase surveillance and security on the subways. They are using similar surveillance systems in Chicago and Corpus Christi as a guide and the plan will incorporate approximately 1,000 new cameras and 3,000 electronic sensors throughout the subway. Now it will be 1,000 times harder to puke all over the subway bench after an evening-long bender. Harder, but not impossible.
