GadgetMadness reviews the Octave 5-in-1 Multipod Camera, a little USB stick with a built-in VGA camera. It’s definitely hit or miss, with iffy picture quality and a horrendus start-up lag (over 15 seconds, they say), but the video quality works well enough. GadgetMadness had the right idea: the Multipod is durable enough to strap onto remote control cars or kites for some point-of-view film making.
It can do other things, too, like serve as a webcam or record audio. Five things, even, although one of those is ‘store files.’
