Over at BoingBoing, you can witness the first and last episode of Drunk Science, in which science journalist Charles Q. Choi (an io9 contributor!) gets seriously shitfaced and tries to explain the concept of speciation by talking about human/orc sex.
It should be no surprise to anybody that Choi’s evening ended with wild descriptions of the theory of relativity, projectile vomiting, and a blackout. In fact, Choi insists he doesn’t actually remember answering most of the science questions that BoingBoing’s Maggie Koerth-Baker lobbed at him during his interview. Of course, this was all done as a deliberate experiment, in the name of SCIENCE. You think I’m joking, but I’m not.
