According to a recent study commissioned by Directonline.com, one in twenty people in the UK have lied to insurers about ‘lost gadgets’ in order to upgrade to a newer model. Interestingly, Scots and North Eastern peoples were the most honest, with less than 3 percent of those surveyed admitting fraud. Of course, it may be that the Scots and friends are just wily enough to know better than to admit they’ve duped their insurance companies.
