Producer Jerry Bruckheimer has tweeted the first image from director Gore Verbinski’s 2013 film adaptation of The Lone Ranger. Behold Johnny Depp as Tonto and Armie Hammer as the pulpy masked man himself. Here’s the synopsis from Disney:
Native American spirit warrior Tonto (Johnny Depp) recounts the untold tales that transformed John Reid (Armie Hammer), a man of the law, into a legend of justice-taking the audience on a runaway train of epic surprises and humorous friction as the two unlikely heroes must learn to work together and fight against greed and corruption.
I will be totally fucking jazzed if this is a $215-million, painfully self-aware sequel to Dead Man. Noodle, Neil Young, noodle!
