Strap on the PacificWind ThrustPac and supercharge your bike riding to speeds approaching 35mph. Although its gasoline-powered internal combustion engine sounds pretty noisy, it gets 150 miles per gallon.

Jeez, this looks like a ton of fun. Listen to them laughing and giggling in the video as they buzz around with these powerful propeller-driven backpacks. It's a hoot. Video after the jump.

DISCUSSION
I was shopping for a set of bicycle rollers a few years ago (ended up getting a more conventional mag trainer instead) that came with a little fan positioned at the front of the rack. They called it "killer headwind". A great idea 'cause biking on rollers in your living room can be a pretty schvitzy affair (no wind to cool you off). Yet, I'm envisioning someone in the bike lane out on the road, wearing one of these contraptions, followed by a bunch of very miffed bikers behind them, all bemoaning this new "killer headwind", plus the 2-cycle fumes. If you thought the kids on their motorized scooters that zip to and fro up and down your street were annoying, finally there's something better! Schweet!
