The New York Times on the new Palm OS 5.0 operating system and the first handhelds to run it, like Sony’s PEG-NX70V (pictured at right). Besides the expected improvements, one the biggest advantages of OS 5.0 is that it can accomodate a wider range of processors than any of the previous operating systems.
