I’m unsure if it’s really the first ‘animal therapy robot,’ but the PARO is almost certainly a seal, which are not only cute, but very delicious. There isn’t much in the way of details on Akihabara News, but there are lots of pictures, as well as the note that the PARO has been recognized by the same organization that brought us fat sailor twins on Harleys, the Guinness Book of World Records.
